Over 100 residents in Blekusu benefit from free medical outreach by The Dei Foundation

More than 100 residents of Blekusu and surrounding communities in the Ketu South municipality have benefitted from a free medical outreach organised by The Dei Foundation.

This initiative forms part of the Foundation’s Group Legacy Programme (GLP), which seeks to provide long-term, sustainable value to host communities. It also aligns with the Foundation’s activities aimed at improving access to healthcare and promoting good health

Beneficiaries received a wide range of medical services including blood pressure and blood sugar checks, eye screening, Body Mass Index (BMI) assessments, as malaria tests. Free medications were provided

Mrs Xornam Favour Ignatius -Dei, a co-founder and the pubic relations officer (PRO) of The Dei Foundation explained that the medical outreach was a reminder that good health should not be a privilege but a right.

“With the support of our partners we will continue to extend healthcare to communities like Blekusu and ensure that The Dei Foundation’s presence is felt where it matters most,” she emphasised.

She also noted that it is they are committed to bringing joy to where it’s needed adding that they ready to extend the outreach to more communities in the country

Prophet Ignatius Dei Junior, the founder of The Dei Foundation stated that the outreach is to help to bridge critical healthcare gaps for vulnerable families.

“Our mission as a foundation is to transform lives through charity and giving globally and our vision is impact globally because we exist to serve humanity” he explained

The Assemblyman for the area, Raphael Nukamewor, described the outreach as a welcome relief for households struggling under economic hardship.

He used the opportunity to thank The Dei Foundation for bringing the outreach to his community

The residents expressed appreciation for the outreach, with one beneficiary, James Macho Akligo describing it as “a blessing” that provided both treatment and renewed hope after months without medical attention.
