The Ketu South Municipal Sports Complex for Basic Schools project at Yame, Ketu South Municipality, Volta Region, is being undertaken by Felix Akonta Akakpo, who is also known as Torgbui Tenuvi II. The project involves the construction of a sports complex comprising five football parks, two volleyball courts, one handball court, one basketball court, dressing rooms, a fence wall, two boreholes, and access roads to communities.

The initiative will commence today, 10th March, 2026, with an expected duration of one year. The objective of the project is to provide a state-of-the-art sports facility for the empowerment of youth in basic schools, promoting development in sports such as football, volleyball, handball, and basketball, and enhancing community infrastructure through improved access roads and water supply.

It is noted that this project is separate from another sports complex project ongoing at Avoeme. The implementation of the sports complex is anticipated to contribute significantly to sports and education in the Ketu South Municipality.
