The Ras MUTA Foundation, in collaboration with the Nugoryiyi Foundation, has handed over a newly constructed modern toilet facility to the Denu Chicago School in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region.

The project, according to the organisers, was initiated in response to a request from the school authorities for improved sanitation facilities to enhance the learning environment and promote the health and dignity of pupils and staff.
Speaking at the handing-over ceremony, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ras MUTA Foundation, Mr. Seth Dellings Nyasorgbor, popularly known as SizzlaOne, said he committed substantial personal resources towards the project, with support from members of the foundation and the Assembly Member for the Denu Electoral Area, Mr. Israel Bossman Selikem.

Mr. Nyasorgbor, who is a brother of the late Edem Divine Nyasorgbor, popularly known as Ras MUTA, said the project was completed within a short period after the school authorities raised the need for a modern toilet facility.
He explained that the foundation considered the request important because a proper sanitation facility is essential to creating a safe and conducive environment for teaching and learning.

The collaboration between the foundations, the school authorities and the local assembly representative was described as an example of how community stakeholders can work together to address pressing challenges facing educational institutions.
Mr. Israel Bossman Selikem, the Assembly Member for the Denu Electoral Area, was also commended for his role in supporting the project and responding to the needs of the school.
As part of the ceremony, the Ras MUTA Foundation received a citation in recognition of what organisers described as its contribution and good works towards the development of the school and the wider community.

A separate citation was also presented to Mr. Israel Bossman Selikem in recognition of his service and efforts as Assembly Member for the Denu Electoral Area.
In another gesture of appreciation, Mr. Francis, a teacher at Denu Chicago School, received a new mobile phone for his dedication to the project. He was recognised for his continuous supervision and monitoring of the construction work throughout the project.

The presentation of the facility and the accompanying recognitions brought together stakeholders who expressed appreciation to the foundations and individuals whose contributions helped make the project possible.
The new facility is expected to improve sanitation at the school and provide pupils and teachers with a more appropriate environment for their daily activities. Adequate school sanitation is widely recognised as an important part of creating a healthy and conducive learning environment.
The Ras MUTA Foundation and Nugoryiyi Foundation have therefore been encouraged to continue their community-oriented initiatives, while other organisations and individuals have also been urged to support educational institutions with projects that improve the welfare of pupils and teachers.
